I thought it was time to share all the information that I have accumulated over the years on the Turnpenny clan: variously transcribed or changed to Turnpenney, Turnpeny, Turnpeney and Tumpenny.
Originally, I started tracing my own family line which you will see I have successfully researched back to 1700, possibly 1640, see register report. On the way, I found other Turnpennys who did not fit into my tree but have managed to build them into their own trees, hoping that one day to have one giant family.
In the course of my research, I have been lucky enough to meet & correspond with lots of Turnpennys from various parts of the world and have been most grateful for the information and wonderful photographs they have supplied, in some cases clarifying names, detailing multiple marriages, etc that I would never have been able to sort out.
The earliest information I have found with any significant information is
John Turnpenny
The Incumbent of Milton Malsor & Collingtree in 1393 mentioned in the Parish Church & Doomsday Book.
